On July 17, 1902, Willis Haviland Carrier designed the first modern air-conditioning system, launching an industry that would fundamentally improve the way we live, work and play.
According to some sources, In 1906, a North Carolina textile manufacturer came up with the phrase “Air Conditioning” because the technology actually improved the quality and condition of the cloth being made in his plant.
